Rest in Peace Gloria

Since I started this site back in 2008, Gloria Vanderbilt has been the top search result that leads people here.  Since I research the genealogy and history of the Vanderbilt family, I have certainly learned much about Gloria and her family during the years.  Gloria passed away today at 95 years old.  Born February 20, 1924, to Reginald Claypoole Vanderbilt and Gloria Morgan, her great-grandfather, William Henry Vanderbilt, was the oldest son of the Commodore.

Ms.Gloria Vanderbilt ..THOUGH SHE CAME FROM ONE OF THE RICHEST AND PROMINENT FAMILIES IN THE USA .SHE HAD MANY UPS AND DOWNS IN HER LIFE. SO ONE HAS TO ADMIRE THE WAY SHE PULLED HER SELF UP WITHOUT COMPLAINING AND MOVED FORWARD WITH OPTIMISM, LOVE OF LIFE AND CREATED A NICHE FOR HERSELF..IN FASHION ,,PAINTING ,ETC.
sHE APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN A GREAT LOVING MOTHER ..THOUGH SHE HERSELF NEVER ENJOYED THAT BOND WITH HER MOTHER..tHE LOVE AND RESPECT BETWEEN HERSELF AND HER SON ANDERSON COOPER IS PALPABLE..IT IS REAL AND DEEP
ANDERSON COOPER WILL SURELY MISS HER GREATLY,,THOUGH HE WAS LUCKY TO HAVE HAD HER THIS LONG
MAY HER SOUL REST IN PEACE
